Language is Everything.

 

Without language you cannot understand anything. Without being able to understand the words you hear, or speak to another person, or interpret the things you see, then you live a life of voluntary disability.

 

That's not to say that your language level has to be a grammatically correct, or pronounced in a deep, authentic Andaluz accent. Its just to say that it matters.In fact, it matters quite a lot.
